An integral part of the Gental Dental team Dr Al-Mozany DClinDent(Ortho), MRACDS(Ortho), MOrth RCSEd treats even the most complex orthodontic problems utilising the most up-to-date technologies available including Invisalign, Damon and bi-lingual braces.

He is currently in specialist at Gentle Dental Care and is an honorary associate in the orthodontic department at University of Sydney. Dr Al-Mozany also leactures in his various areas of interest such as adult orthodontics.

Orthodontics for Children

Orthodontics for children is critically important. Early management of tooth alignment ensures children don’t have too many problems when their primary teeth erupt.

Interventions include the following:

• Correcting simple irregularities in one or more teeth.
• Space maintenance to ensure no valuable space is lost for adult teeth when baby teeth are lost early.
• Interceptive Orthodontics – helps growing children develop properly with enough space for permanent teeth. Treatment here can often prevent the need for future orthodontic procedures. This is called Orthopaedics and is a new concept in helping dental bones develop into the proper relationship.

Orthodontics for Adults

Orthodontics is now an acceptable and sought after treatment for adults too. Invisalign® aligners are also often recommended for adults. The series of clear removable aligners straighten your teeth right before your eyes. Your teeth move little by little, week by week-until they have moved to the final desired position.

Splints/Nightguards

These are often recommended to relieve discomfort from any problems relating to your bite, TMJ distress, or overnight grinding of the teeth.
