Anesthetic Services – Pain-Free Dentistry

Local Anesthesia

This is a topical, pre-numbing gel applied to the gums. It is used in minor procedures to prevent discomfort or as preparation for an injection.

IV Sedative

We start with nitrous oxide (happy gas) to make you calm and slightly detached from what's happening around you. When comfortable and at ease we administer an IV (intravenous) sedative. You may be aware of certain sounds but there is no pain and no anxiety.

General Anesthetic

In some circumstances we also provide a general anesthetic.
